I am from a Catholic family, but I praise God, for I have known Him and received Him as my personal Lord and Savior and the Controller of my life.
At first I thought that to receive Him was enough, but later on I found out that I wanted to know more about Him.
ONE on ONE with GOD is my first Bible study that I have experienced in my whole life, and I can’t express how happy and blessed I was when I was invited to attend such a wonderful Bible study. It taught me how to praythe pattern of prayer. It gave me a clearer view of how a Christian family should be inside and outside the home, with or without others. I now treat my wife and children more tenderly.

We are planning to start three ONE on ONE with GOD groups this coming June.
One of them will meet in a hospital, one with young professionals, and one with young couples. Six members of our deacon body have undergone the ONE on ONE training as well.

Before ONE on ONE with GOD I found it awkward as I was not used to studying the Bible, but once many Saturdays of the study had passed, I found it interesting to study.
I was also more likely to answer the Follow-Up questions and do the assignments. I feel as if I’m getting close to Jesus and that I can walk with Him always, even when I’m in my risky job as a policeman. It really works wonders in relation to my work assignment as I have Jesus as my Lord and Savior and my powerful Protector.

Before I went through ONE on ONE with GOD, God found me a sinner in all ways_
Today when someone comes to me and teaches the Word of God, I expect everything is going okay now because my church is teaching everything about giving, about praying every day, about respecting one another_

I give thanks to God first for His unending love that He has poured out on my life in abundance.
Today I want, in a few words, to express my thanks at having been able to participate in ONE on ONE with GOD, which has been for me a very gratifying experience for my spiritual life. I know that my life from this point forward will not be the same.
I confess that I had high expectations for this course because the title had caught my attention and made me curious. Today I give thanks to Jesus Christ for giving me the blessings of meeting me in my curiosity, of being able to be discipled through this course, and of being able to disciple others.
For me it has been a joyful week but also one of discovering myself. Today I know that the road before me is long and won’t be easy, but I have learned that discipline is the means by which we come closer to the Lord and that constancy will give us the triumph for which God is pleased in our efforts.
Really I don’t have words to express all that I have received in this course, but one thing I will say: It was worth the cost to have left my family this week. It was not easy to be far from home, but it was good.
I give thanks to God for each of you to whom God has given this powerful ministry. My prayer will be that each day doors are opened and that God’s grace fills you. God bless you.

I want to thank God for ONE on ONE with GOD and the many things that it did in me.
My life as a young man and a young soul in the Lord has been renewed and has gone to another level and dimension. Many errors in my previous understanding have been corrected, such as my perception of other Christians, through pondering, picturing, and sharing in the Word of God. This training has updated and encouraged my ministry as a youth pastor on how to associate with others. It has also taught me some techniques for approaching those who need to be born again.
May the Almighty God who started this good work in ONE on ONE finish it and continue it! God bless you!

Lord God, I want to thank You for the spiritual blessings You have poured on me this intense week of discipleship.
I remember the state of terrible pain and confusion in which I found myself. You know full well that I was doubting Your calling to care for and provide for Your flock, the small one that You’ve given me. But when I was invited to this course, I didn’t expect that it would be the means by which You would guide me in the midst of my confusion.
But Your name is admirable! And You always answer more abundantly than what we know to ask or understand. Your light began to shine when I discovered that the center of the study would be to know You, glorify You, and be transformed into Your likeness. What other motivation can govern the heart of Your true children? From You, for You, and on Your behalf all things exist! You are worthy!
When I arrived at ponder, picture, and pray in the study, Your light penetrated my soul. Thanks for the image of Jesus walking over the waters and of Peter walking toward Him. It makes me remember the way that I timidly began my ministry, without any confidence except in Your power, without any motivation other than experiencing You in me. I also saw myself drowning and doubting, and I saw You also, grabbing my hand, reproaching my doubts, and making everything calm_
Thank You, Father, for the worship that we had last night. My life will never be the same. Thank You, Lord, for what You do, for touching the fibers of this heart with Your Word. Let me return to You an adoration that lasts until the bright morning star rises in my heart. Thank You, Lord, for these pious men who prepared this material, ONE on ONE with GOD, who prayed for us and blessed us with their sacrifice. Thank You that they have modeled You before us. Magnify Yourself to us that we would be able to model You in this land. This is the profound desire of our hearts!

ONE on ONE with GOD has empowered me and revived my life in that now I am able to develop a closer walk with God by having a quiet time each day, disciplining myself in the area of studyng God’s Word and yielding to the control of the Holy Spirit to enable me to accomplish God’s purpose in my days.
The study has helped me by enlightening me as to how I can develop a closer walk with God on a daily basis. It has helped me to cast away all anxiety and start living one day at a time, depending wholly on God. The study also reminded me of the areas I had failed in evangelizing. I have renewed my commitment to evangelism and calling people back to Christ. It has challenged me not to procrastinate but to open the Word today.

I personally thank the Lord for sending to our country the couple who taught us ONE on ONE with GOD.
Many people here, especially myself, had already forgotten God’s laws and commandments and turned to sin. But because of your encouragement and patience through Mr. A., who always returned and invited us to be with your group, little by little I’ve realized what I was before compared to now. I have a clear understanding of God’s purpose in my life.

Sincerely with ONE on ONE with GOD training, it has enabled me to know that my only determined purpose is to know Him and that I ought to move with the Lord God always in all things, no matter what is done to me.
ONE on ONE has enabled me to learn that I should always be disciplined in God’s ways in whatever I do. It has shown me how to prepare messages before I get up to preach or teach before the people of God. Through the lesson on saturation, I have come to know that in all things I do in my life, I should have Christ-centered love for God, the lost, and others. This has challenged my life, and it’s never the same. I have a clear picture of meditation. ONE on ONE has brought me to know the characteristics, general lifetime goals, and qualities of a good disciple of Jesus Christ.

I want to thank God for the opportunity that He has given me to receive this material, ONE on ONE with GOD.
I was only expecting to translate and be a means of blessing others with the teachings of this material. But God in His goodness had the intention of refreshing my life with His presence, renewing my vision, and strengthening me with His power and truth. I will be praying for you, for your ministry, and for those who have been blessed by God through your lives.
The truths of the Bible that this material has shown us, the stories and illustrations, the tools, and the dynamics, all have one end: to know God in an intimate and personal way. The material stimulates the development of habits and disciplines that are so important to the Christian life such as meditation, prayer, study of the Word, communion, and evangelism, among others. All of them are a part of our way of life so that we might know, glorify, and be like God. I can say to you that my life today is oriented on that which is eternal: God, His Word, and the souls of men. I have been discipling people for a few years, and without a doubt, you have been a chosen instrument by which God prepared me and encouraged me to be more effective in the ministry. I am convinced that thousands of people will be blessed thanks to your time, love, and sacrifices, all taken in by me.
May God bless you and continue to use you.

Before we went through ONE on ONE with GOD, I was in the habit of postponing issues (the sin of procrastination).
As we continued with the program, I realized that I should always deal with today so that I do not miss the mark. I thank God for this challenge because regardless of the many excuses that I would have given, the Lord God has healed me. I have deliberately chosen to do whatever assignment I have for God today.
I also learned that I need to deliberately yield to the Holy Spirit’s leading so as to be able to love those that are difficult to love. My love for the easily lovable had a higher percentage than for the difficult to love. I confronted that, and I thank God that I will be bold enough to move even to the difficult parts with the love of God. I thank God that His Spirit will produce genuine love for the lost and the difficult to love, in and through me.

Before I went through ONE on ONE with GOD, I was working in ministry and leading people to the Lord.
Today I have learned to meditateto ponder and visualize using the Word of God. I have learned to abide in and have abiding in me the Word of God. I have learned to pray through and in the Word of God. I have also realized that you can be in the Word of God at all times, not just at church. I thank God for ONE on ONE.

Our ONE on ONE with GOD seminar helped us a lot.
As head of the family and to my wife, it has really made a great change in our husband-and-wife relationship. I know God will answer my prayers that I can have a Christian home.

I requested some books be sent to Nairobi, Kenya, for a Bible study I was leading there.
I am proud to say that my friends whom I was leading are now discipling others. We will never know how many people were touched by ONE on ONE with GOD.

Before I began ONE on ONE with GOD, I was poor in praying.
But now I know how to pray. I did not have the love of God toward everybody, but now I am going to love everybody as the Lord has loved me. I will love fellow Christians. I will also love the lost following the love of Jesus.

I would like to thank the brothers and sisters who made it possible for D. to come to my country to share the discipleship material ONE on ONE with GOD.
I am a pastor of a church. I have served for 10 years in this position. It is my desire that you would pray for my wife and my children, who are 14 and 8 years old. Our church is growing, and we have much work. I hope that you will be able to visit someday.
In 1994 I received a calling from God to serve Him in pastoral ministry. I was finishing my last year in my career of medicine. The voice of God was clear that I would have to overcome many obstacles, leave the profession of medicine, and face the opposition of my family, who were not Christians and didn’t understand my decision. It was a very confusing time. The next year, after I graduated, I entered seminary, and the following year I got married. These were hard years, but afterwards I came to work in my town, and God has been faithful. He has given us a beautiful work of missions within His precious and blessed church.
May God bless you so much!

I studied in a military school that offered my career as an architect once every five years.
But in my year they weren’t supposed to have architecture, but it came anyway. Still there was a problem: I couldn’t draw, and I didn’t know what architecture was. They gave us a test, and in the end only three people were chosen. I was one of them. When I got to the university, I was in a room with Christians (God doesn’t make mistakes). In the beginning I always discussed with them and even asked for a Bible from them to read it myself. After we discussed various things with many arguments in those days, I would be very tired. But I would read so I could discuss more with the Christians, and the fatigue was taken away from me, as was the sleepiness. I would read and read without stopping.
I remember that one day I was reading the book of Exodus. Seeing the people of Israel who rebelled against God in spite of the miracles He had done, I was very annoyed and said they were very bad. I then realized that I was doing the same thing as the people of Israel. So one day, in my third year of school, I accepted the Lord completely. Since then I’ve been growing and turning over more areas of my life. As a Christian I give thanks to God for all things, especially for the bad because it has been where I’ve learned the most.
In my house I have had opposition from my parents who don’t allow me to listen to Christian music or read the Bible. They say that I shame them, that I am killing them with this decision, and that the greatest happiness I could give them would be to stop being a Christian. I can’t understand them because before I became a Christian, I was a bad son. I didn’t respect them, I didn’t help them, I lied to them, I got in fights, I drank, and I had piercings and tattoos. I was the personification of egotism, but immediately Christ changed all this in a radical way. Now I help my mother wash and clean the house, I do dishes, I don’t smoke or drink, I don’t fight or have piercings, and even though I’m not completely free, I’m much less egotistical. Even though they see this, they continue to oppose me. I have learned that even your parents can deny you, but God can’t. The Lord said to me in His Word, Even though your father and mother leave you, I will gather you up.
A friend told me about ONE on ONE with GOD, and I signed up. But things have been rough in my house. My mom has had surgery for skin cancer; they had to open her up, and she bled profusely. She was in great anguish and didn’t want to eat because I continued to be a Christian. In school I’ve also had problems. I’m in my last year, working on my thesis. But all of this didn’t impede me from coming to search for God.
From the first days of the course, I learned that I ought to have discipline in the things of God. On Wednesday I got the unhoped-for news that a very good friend had drowned on a beach. She wasn’t a Christian, and she had been taking care of her father, who had had surgery for prostate cancer. I couldn’t believe it. I cried a lot. I didn’t have the desire to continue in the course, much less do the homework. But in the morning of this same day, Jerry had talked about the need to become a disciple and to put God first. I put aside my feelings and stayed in the course, doing the homework. I give so much thanks to God that I stayed.
ONE on ONE seems so genuine to me, a tool from God. I feel that I am becoming a more mature Christian. I will go on remembering with nostalgia Jerry giving the throne to God. I hope that this helps me to remember that I should give the control of my life to the Holy Spirit. I will go on with the truths from the Bible in my heart, thanks to meditation and the pictures that Jerry had us paint. He would have been a good professor in a school! I want to give thanks to you who, with the help of the only God, have made this possible. I don’t know you, but still I love you in the Lord. I pray that God continues to bless you and utilize you to win lives for Him.
