ONE on ONE with GOD is one of the best discipleship tools I’ve come across.
A humble, persistent, and long-term walk with God is all about habits. Through this fifteen-week study our habits are shaped and formed to hear the voice of the life-changing God of the Scriptures. You will not be disappointed.

Fifteen weeks ago God found a guy who would spend some good time with Him each morning, but in a lot of ways it wasn’t true fellowship with Him.
Today God sees a guy who spends deep quality time with Him for the sole purpose of knowing Him better, realizing that spending time with God is more than just a spiritual discipline. It is fellowshipping with the One who has created me and formed me to connect with Him. God also finds a guy who is constantly seeking to dwell on Him. Whether it is walking around campus, lying in bed, or driving in the car, I am now dwelling more on Him and playing offense more than I was before. That has helped in my battle against temptation and desiring things other than God and has most of all increased my desire to know Him more and more.

Fifteen weeks ago God found me walking with Him and seeking to obey Him and make disciples.
Today God finds me doing the same as before but:
1. more encouraged and strengthened in my quiet time or times with God.
2. spending more time during the day and night sharing my love for God with Him and trying to do that all through the day and when I awaken in the night.
3. better equipped on how to share the disciplines so as not to be undisciplined or legalistic.
4. using a better plan that is pass-on-able to disciple others.
5. more determined to help myself and others know God better.

Before I started ONE on ONE with GOD, I was, to be blunt, talking the talk and walking the walk but without fellowship.
I was living the way a Christian should. However, I was not investing any time with Him. I was also seeking answers, but I had no idea how to find them.
Now I know how to get answers for my questions, and I find that I want to invest time in reading and praying. I have found the joy and peace that I had heard so much about but was waiting to find.

Before I started ONE on ONE with GOD, I was in bad shape.
I was trying to live a Spirit-filled life, but I was unsuccessful. The time between the end of school and the beginning of my summer job was rough for meno quiet time and living with my family.
But now I am better! I feel like I can successfully live a life devoted to Christ. Sometimes my emotions are still rough, but I have the knowledge of how to live. I am eager to spend time in His Word. There are many sub-par areas in my life, but God has been working on that with me. I know God’s love for me and how to love others. I am nowhere close to perfect, but in His eyes and through His love I am.

Before I began ONE on ONE with GOD, I was striving to be closer to God and wanting to be more in fellowship with Him.
I felt that my spiritual life was kind of slow, and I wanted it to be moving more.
Since completing the study, I feel a lot better about myself. God loves me so much, and I am so blessed to have a loving Father like Him. I still have a lot of growing to do, but with God’s help, we can do it. I know the importance of discipling others, and with God working through me, I want to be a true and prepared disciple for Christ.

When I came to Ridgecrest, I wanted to know God more deeply.
I was feeling defeated and confused about a lot of things (my church, which is not 100 percent doing the will of God). God had told me I was not to leave that church because He was about to do something big, and I had obeyed Him by staying there, but they were really bringing me down. I knew God was going to show me something awesome throughONE on ONE with GOD.
After finishing ONE on ONE, I am a lot closer to Jesus than I was before. He has spoken to me so much and has become more personal. I understand things that I didn’t understand before, such as that He wanted me to go to Honduras, because He prepared me all morning, starting with my quiet time, to devote my life to missions. I know now how to meditate, and God has given me a peace about the worries I had. I am going to offer ONE on ONE at my church when I get home.

I want to thank you both for spending your summer in Glorieta and working with me.
ONE on ONE with GOD was the defining time of my life and has set the course for everything else. Thank you for being there and loving us!

We know you’ve seen this multiplication thing work for many years through ONE on ONE with GOD, but it’s new to us and we wanted you to know how really cool we think it is.
Thanks for investing in Joe and me. From your time with us, we’ve reached out to people who have reached out to other people. Now, as we and those we have discipled continue to disciple others in small groups, we’re at ninety-five people. That’s not counting the two of us, and remember, we didn’t even start discipling until nine weeks ago.

I am ordering Leader’s Guides for the four girls I discipled this semester.
There are people coming out of the woodwork wanting to go through ONE on ONE with GOD. They’re realizing that they are not experiencing abundant life! It’s great!

The focus on knowing Christ in a progressive, intimate way and then making Him known to others isnt a program to go through, but a lifestyle to develop.
Knowing Christ intimately, then giving your life to developing others into disciple-makers is the goal so that people everywhere can come to know our magnificent Lord, Jesus Christ.
I know of no greater need in the church today than to help its members have an intimate relationship with Christ and then be able to disciple others.
To fulfill this need is what ONE on ONE with GOD is all about. The original intent of Jerry and Marilyn Fine was not to develop a discipleship program for others to use. They personally gave their lives to developing people and as they did, ONE on ONE with GOD was born.
In their local church and as Jerry traveled in his career, they discipled people using the materials they developed. Thus, ONE on ONE with GOD came into existence over a period of many years in the context of real-life situations.
It worked well with an individual or a small group and with people of various ages. Many becoming Christs disciples wanted to disciple others. Eventually a leaders guide was developed so anyone could use the materials.
Working with university students, I have seen God use this material to give students direction, a plan, content, and confidence that enable them to produce multiplying disciples.
Now there are people scattered around the world using these materials as a guide. Spiritual multiplication is the result.
I hope you will find ONE on ONE with GOD as helpful as have thousands of others in knowing Christ personally and developing Christians into disciple-makers.

Thank you for developing ONE on ONE with GOD and having it “cram packed” with scripture.
I got saved during the third week of class. ONE on ONE has been critical in my walk with God.

I just wanted to email you and let you know how God is using the ONE on ONE with GOD materials in my life and the lives of my students.
First of all, let me say that it was a “God-thing” that Marilyn came and sat down by me that day at Life Impact 2002 in Oklahoma City. I had made the commitment to disciple students during that week, but was once again facing the question, “Now what do I do?”
I am the campus minister on two small commuter campuses, one of which is a junior college. Shortly after I took over the position, a campus minister with a lot more experience than I had, said, “Yvette, you are on a small campus. The best use of your time will be to disciple students one, two or three at a time.” I thought that was a great idea, but I didn’t know exactly how to go about it.
I’ve been a campus minister almost thirteen years now and I’ve talked to a lot of students, loved a lot of students, had an open-door policy with my students, but still didn’t know how to disciple them in a way that would literally change their lives. Finally, after speaking with Marilyn and her offering to show me the ONE on ONE with GOD materials, I felt as though I had found what I had been looking for.
I bought some notebooks and a leader’s guide and took it home, determined to sign up a handful of students. As it turned out, I had fourteen students interested in being discipled! School didn’t begin for two weeks after we got home, so I got a head start on the program with my daughter, Michelle. Last week, I was telling the students how much I was getting out of the program and one of the young ladies said, “Mrs. Yvette, I see the difference already that it has made in you!” How exciting that was for me!
I can’t thank you enough for coming up with what is indeed usable and pass-on-able material!

ONE on ONE with GOD is one of the most effective training tools that we have used.
We have more and more students learning to walk with God and becoming competent leaders as a result of this material. I am confident that anyone who learns and lives out the concepts found in ONE on ONE can have a fruitful ministry anywhere in the world. Years ago, ONE on ONE challenged me to walk with the Lord and helped to make me an effective leader. I highly recommend this training for you to use personally and for an overall strategy for your ministry.

I finished leading a group through the ONE on ONE with GOD and God really blessed through it.
I got as much out of it as the learners did. God is really blessing right now, as I am deeply involved in ministries at my church. I am two weeks into my new semester at school, and God is opening doors for me like never before.
I will graduate next spring, (hopefully), and the next fall I plan on starting seminary in New Orleans to get my master’s in Christian Educational Ministries. I truly believe that this past summer helped me to realize God’s plans for my life, and I just wanted you to know that your teaching and guidance helped me to understand and find God’s will.
I believe that discipleship is where most Christians are found lacking. Too often we as Christians focus on other aspects of ministering without any thought of growth for ourselves or for new Christians. I feel a strong desire to help fellow Christians with that growth, and in doing so I believe it will help them to better equip others.

When I started ONE on ONE with GOD, God found me wanting to know Him on my time and only when I could find time. I was too concerned about everything else around me. I was always on the defense when Satan attacked me, and I never was on the offense, especially when I missed my quiet time. I was having a hard time memorizing Scripture and taking the time to do it.
After completing Session 15, I believe God has found me truly after His heart and wanting to really know Him daily. I have found God’s true love for me, and by yielding myself to His Holy Spirit. I can have that love outflowing from me. Now I can play on offense to Satan by filling my mind with Christ and His love for me. I don’t need to play the defense, always asking God to help me get rid of that temptation. By focusing on Christ and memorizing Scripture, I will not be helpless any more.
